ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST:

- Provide a pastoral referee name and contact details.
A pastoral referee is either an employed or voluntary pastor or minister from a Christian church in which you currently attend. This referee will be contacted by Red Frogs Australia prior to application approval. A pastoral referee provides Red Frogs with further information relating to volunteer experiences and suitability for the program.
PASTORAL REFEREES: Any questions we ask from your pastoral referee may be of a personal nature however this is only done to protect and benefit both yourself and RFA. Please do not be offended by this or deterred from your application however please also understand that by making this application you will be taken to have consented to us approaching your pastoral referee with such queries.
- All volunteers must disclose any physical and/or mental health concerns, as well as any current medications. No volunteer will be discriminated against on the basis of their physical and/or mental health status, however this disclosure will be used by Red Frogs Australia in determining suitability and for the provision of appropriate advice, care, and support to the volunteer. Red Frogs Australia will advise the volunteer of the challenges they may face during their volunteering period including, but not limited to, access to support services, triggering situations, etc. The volunteer should discuss all of these challenges with their medical practitioner in order to ensure they are fully prepared for their volunteering. Red Frogs Australia may request a reference letter from the medical practitioner prior to your acceptance.
- All volunteers MUST attend a Red Frogs Australia face-to-face training session AND complete your designated online training prior to commencement of Schoolies/Leavers or your application will be withdrawn.*
*International, interstate or distance volunteers living more than 2hrs from your nearest face to face training session may email applications@redfrogs.com.au for alternative training options.
During completion of online training you will be required to sign a Red Frogs Australia and/or Department of Communities Code of Conduct (whichever is relevant in your local area).
- Be a regular attendee of a local Christian church.
- Be 18 years of age or over.
- Volunteers must not be part of the graduating cohort of 2019.
REGISTRATION FEES:
- Full payment must be received two weeks prior to schoolies commencing. Payments are received via Stripe as part of your One Another App volunteer portal, or you may contact Red Frogs Office for alternative payment methods.
- Included in the registration fee is a $50 non-refundable deposit
- You may fundraise for your application via www.fundafrog.com.au which is built on an Every Day Hero platform. Your funds raised on Fund-A-Frog will be credited against your application fee, though we do ask that you raise 10% more than your registration to cover processing fees.
- In order to be eligible for early bird registration, a volunteer must register online before the 2nd September, 2019.
- In order to be eligible for normal registration costs, you must register online before the 4th November, 2019 (for week 1 volunteers).
- In order to be eligible for normal registration costs, you must register online before the 11th November, 2019 (for week 2 volunteers).
PART-TIME & FULL-TIME REGISTRATIONS:
- All full-time volunteers must be available for the whole schoolies/leavers program as outlined on the website for your location that you are applying for. Full time volunteers must be available for both day and/or night shifts as required. Those applicants who are not able to meet these requirements may have their role and or dates reclassified to accommodate volunteer availability.
- Volunteers will be allocated to a team. Due to the size and scope of the schoolies/leavers program, sometimes leadership will need to make decisions around allocations, for the good of the program, which may mean personal requests may not always be accommodated. We expect all volunteers to come with a servant heart and a willingness to do that, which is requested of them.
- REFUNDS: Volunteers are entitled to a full refund minus the $50 non-refundable deposit if their application is cancelled 1 week prior to the commencement of the schoolies/leavers program in their selected location. Volunteers must contact applications@redfrogs.com.au for further refund processing information.
- Accommodation and food packages include a varying level of accommodation. Accommodation can include sharing a double bed, room and possibly sleeping on a trundle, couch or dorm style.
- Food consists of 1 meal per day (dinner) in all locations*. Some locations may also include breakfast or lunch. Volunteers will need to budget some meals during the week. For further information on location catering, please visit www.redfrogs.com.au/apply and select your location. *Locations that have a registration only option will not be catered.
- Volunteer roles that do not require accommodation and food will not be entitled to volunteer catering provided at their location. If you would like catering and you have selected ‘I don’t require accommodation”, please contact applications@redfrogs.com.au for more information.
- Red Frogs Australia reserves the right to make decisions regarding accommodation allocation. Requests are considered, however due to the size and scope of the program sometimes leadership will need to make decisions around allocations for the good of the program, which may mean personal are not able to be accommodated. At no time during the program can a volunteer change their allocated accommodation provided by Red Frogs Australia without the change being approved by management.
- Volunteers must have a CURRENT blue card (QLD) or Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) to participate in the Red Frogs Australia program. Red Frogs Australia reserves the right to cancel an application if you do not have a valid WWCC/Blue Card, and this will be non-refundable.
- Red Frogs Australia reserves the right to decline any application. Applications are based on number limits, suitability, personal character and whether Red Frogs Australia believes it is in the volunteer’s best interest to participate in the program.
- Red Frogs Australia reserves the right to terminate participation of any volunteer at any stage of the program. Volunteers must abide by the Code of Conduct (provided during training) at all times or they may be asked to leave the program. When deciding whether or not a volunteer continues to participate in the program after a breach of the Code of Conduct, Red Frogs Australia will consult the volunteer’s pastoral reference where practical; however, the final decision rests with Red Frogs Australia.
DISCLAIMER: I agree that except where it is expressly prevented at law then I as a volunteer will not in any manner whatsoever hold RFA liable for any injury accident death or otherwise to my person or properties irrespective of how such injuries or damage may occur and I acknowledge that I am volunteering at my own risk and that I will take all necessary steps and precautions to ensure that I am fully aware of any risks associated with my volunteering.
CONFIDENTIALITY CLAUSE: I agree that any confidential information that comes into my possession whilst volunteering shall not be divulged to any third party (including social media) without the prior written consent of RFA. I also agree that I will not use or attempt to use any such information acquired whilst a volunteer which would in any manner be conceived as a conflict of interest so as to injure or cause loss to RFA or its reputation.
I agree that RFA may at its absolute discretion use details regarding my volunteering and images and photos for promotional, development and training purposes.
